I just bought the Paul Osborne illusion plans and I was hoping someone could clarify the spring mechanism? PM me if need be.
Thanks!

Matt, you have chose one of the most difficult illusion to try and build. The good thing is being you are in Hight School, you should seek the advice of your Metal Shop teacher and Wood Shop Teachers. They will be able to help you create this illusion.
I know a guy who built Harbin's Bow Sawing and it was truly a lot of labor. |

Yeah, I figured as much. My grandpa (who lives right upstairs of me) is an expert craftsman (he has built several of my illusions) so the wood is covered. My theatre's tech director is excellent with metal, so I have both of those covered. But I still don't understand the spring mechanism...

That is why I suggested you talk to them, they will understand the catch. It is very hard to explain it in words only.

Okay sounds good. I will see my grandpa in about two minutes, and my tech director tomorrow, so I will ask them then.
