No plans... Buy it from Craig.

Buy the original prop from Craig Dickens himself instead of the plans?

And that's the best he can do for his great piece! A great craftsman - a master!

Btw. his work deserves to be bought (and not stolen naturally).

If I remember correctly. Craig told me that it's $8,500. Personally. I would go with Jack Murrays mirror penetration. ALOT cheaper.

You can create miracles with a ball of yarn. It comes down to wether or not your a good performer or not in my opinion. And yes, MakeUp Guy, I have seen Craig's. But I also took into consideration that not all of us can shell out $8,500.

David,
That routine is a work of art! Real star presence.
Well done!

Michael, The fact that you are looking for plans, leads me to believe that you are on a very tight. You might have set out thinking you could have bought Craig’s illusion for a few thousand dollars. This has been dampened by the price. Yes, not all of us can afford $8500.

On a good note, David Goldrake proved 2 things. 1. Craigs illusion is a work of art. 2. Its not about the prop. It is about the performer. A $500 sub trunk in the hands of a great performer is a miracle. The same sub trunk in the hands of an amateur is just a stage prop.

If you are still considering building your illusion, Andrew Mayne’s book ‘Solo-X’ has an effect called A-FRAME Mirror Penetration. Easy to build but work on the presentation. Nothing wrong with baby steps.

While I did build David's mirror, it is not my illusion. This is the method that David has been using for years. Jim Steinmeyer did the art direction on the piece.
The mechanics and presentation details of mine are different as can be seen in the demo video.

Dear Craig,

Thanks for your very kind words!

Dear members,

Thank you, too!

Allow me to post another link:

The piece has been created by Jim Steinmeyer and built by Craig. I was the first one to perform it.

It is not where I would like it to be yet but we are approaching the goal, if such a thing there is...

I hope you enjoy it.

David,

I liked your performance very much. I've seen it on french TV and wished I would have been there to see it live. I've send you an e-mail afterwards, but I think you're must be very busy.

You've said that you were the first to perform Jim Steinmeyer's Squozd Illusion. I suppose you mean in Europe on TV. I might be wrong, but I think I've seen it before presented by Rick Thomas on TV. It's a very original and deceptive prop.

Anyway...

Congratulations for winning this recognition in magic. You really deserve it !!!
Hope to see your live show one day. Do you plan to come to France with your show one day ?

Oliver.
