However, to answer your question, I would certainly hope so, but as you noted, the witnesses saw the bodies covered, and if they were predisposed for some reason to think they weren't humans, they might have perceived the bodies as humanoid rather than human. In addition, how long did those witnesses wait before coming forward? (I'm not being sarcastic, I really want to know). Hindsight has a way of changing what we remember. Point in case. When I was a kid, I had a teacher who had a bad leg and walked with a noticable limp. He also had one arm that was almost useless. I knew him and saw him at least once a week for five or six years, then didn't see him until my last year of high school. When I saw him again, I was convinced that he had been in an accident because I didn't remember the limp or the lame arm. I mentioned it to my parents later and they said he had been that way since before I was born. Memories have a way of editing reality. |

I may be wrong about this, but I am fairly sure there was one person who claimed to see, bodies, a farmer, I believe, whose property the crash site was. In addition, there is some speculation that a nurse at a nearby military base saw bodies.

I would love the Roswell "alien" theory to be true, but the more one digs into it, the more the available "evidence" falls flat and the more probable the Project Mogul explanation (regarding top-secret atomic detonation detectors launched on high-altitude weather balloons) becomes.
Still, one is left with the tantalizing fact that it was the US Airforce itself who first announced to the press that they'd captured a flying disk... |

It seem's to me that the Government is still covering up the "truth" about the Roswell incident. It was just a few years ago that CNN covered a press meeting where a Government official admitted that there was a cover-up because of "National Security". The official said that the truth can now be told. It was a satellite that fell to earth. A satellite? Gee, I thought the first satellite (Sputnic) was launched by the Soviet's in 1958 or 1959? Seem's to me that the cover-up is alive and well. If there is nothing to hide, why the obvious B.S. about a satellite?

No matter what doesn't happen, the government always loses, since it is in the position of having to prove an unquantified negative.
The best they can manage right now is the equivalent of Popeye's argument to his nephews about a giant at the top of a beanstalk: "There's no giant up there, and I'll proves it by not bringin' him back." I don't envy them. Steve

The book The Day After Roswell by Colonel Philip J. Corso (Ret.) may be of interest here. A very interesting read.

I found this site very interesting...
http://www.roswellprof.com I just WISH I could go back to July of '47 there and SEE what really crashed...and then call the news services...NOT the military!!! (like the one guy there that did that said later "that was the worst mistake I ever made...") |

Aliens have visited us. I have a transcript of what was said. Click here to read it.

There's a good chance that a conversation like that really took place between "aliens" (well...we're the "aliens" on every other planet except Earth you know!!).
Still think that IF we found a planet with life (of any kind) there would be specimens "abducted" for study...by the scientists or government or both!!!! And why don't they "contact us"...same reason I would NOT "visit" my wife's relatives in California when I'm out there....TOO stupid, offensive...and nothing in common!!!! Still...it's a NICE and VERY pretty planet...and a great place to visit!!! Just ignore the pencilneck geeks that live on it!! |

Wow! Dave, that was an awesome link! Worthy of the twilight zone! There's another really cool hypothesis on what a contact with aliens would be like in Orson Scott Card's 'Cruel Miracles'.
Everybody wants to beleive.....we just help them along.
