I bought this book 4 years ago, but wasn't ready then. Now I am!

What's your super favorite card illusion out of this book?

Thanx-

I like the Jennings Revelation. It's great as a lead in to any four ace trick. Also, Ambitious Classic is one of my all time favorites (although I prefer Derek Dingle's handling). Smile

This is an absolute must have book. Larry Jennings had a great mind for magic. My favorite effects are "Open Travellers", "The Homing Card" and "The Visitor".

It's like Lays Potato Chips...I can't choose just one.

I bought this book about a month ago.
The stuff in it is simply superb.
I'm working hard on my Jennings Revelation --whenever I get it spot on I feel very magical.
"Synchronicity" is incredible, as is
"Spectators' Triumph" in which the spectator gets to shuffle half the deck face up into face down. Impressive to say the least.
I'm still working my way through it - so many gems, I'm losing out on my sleep...

Hard to tell, because the book is so good.

I said, if I have to go to an island and am allowed to take only one magic book with me, it would be 'The classic magic of Larry Jennings'

My favorites are: Outstanding Triumph, Ambidextrous Card, and the??? face up face down shuffle, with the four of the kind reversal???

"Impossible" is one of those wonderfully-easy, impromptu, borrowed deck tricks that just has no earthly explanation and allows for loads of audience involvement.

It was the first that came to mind from this marvellous book.

Open Travellers looks really magical. I'd like to advise you to examine other writers, who have versions of the same effect. It is very insightful to develop your own version!

For instance, what Close did with Ambidexterous Travellers is a very cool piece of showmanship!

"The Visitor" is one of my favourites. realistically speaking it would be pretty tough to find anything in the book that would not be excellent if well performed.

I agree. It is the best book in my collection, and it is up against some good competition too.

My favorite in the book is The Visitor. It is a perfect form of deception.

Outstanding Triumph is now my favorite version of the classic plot. The L J Display is sooooo convincing.

The Wedge Cull is a secret weapon that everyone should use. Tricks like The Bonus Trick and The Pacoima Solution make it worth learning.

Reaping the Aces I, one of the best and easiest spectator-cuts-the aces routines I have ever seen.

Other favorites:
Always Cut the Cards
The Mystery Card
Plotting the Twisted Aces
Well Oiled Reset
The Jennings Opener
Ambitious Classic

Tell you the truth, I plan on learning every routine in the book. When I'm done soaking everything in, I know I'll be a better performer. It truly is a must have for serious card students. (It also has it's fair share of coin and other magic also.)

I certainly do, but whats the skill level like? I want a challenge, but at the same time nothing too impossible! What sort of sleights does he use?

Thanks for any help on this.
