In response to the above about table lamps.. during the Holidays (Halloween-Christmas) I noticed several times that most major retail stores sale remote control devices to turn decorative lights on and off. The remote is tiny and could easily fit on a keychain, etc.It actually reminded me a keyless entry remote that many cars have today and could easily be mistaken for that. Many lamps have a lot of extra space in the base where the wiring is. With a little electrical know-how I'm sure this could easily be rewired to have a remote control lamp with a tiny remote. I'm sure this would also work with any other application you would like such as a tv, etc. The best part is that it only costs like 12 bucks. Let me know if any of you know what I'm talking about.

I like this idea. In the setting of a seance when everything is reasonably quiet, nerves are on edge and everyone is tense waiting for something to happen...this is the great. It's like the classic scare out of a good horror movie.

If you go the route of using a "universal" (programmable) remote to control your audience's TV set, you might benefit from a site like this: http://www.xdiv.com/remotes/
This is an index of remote control commands, by manufacturer, so you can pre-program your universal remote to work with the equipment at your show location. Find out this info in advance, and could set up your remote control to work with more than just the TV; perhaps their stereo could also become possessed.... |
