Just some information:

Very interesting... especially the research. first of all, according to my understanding, the Jewish religion does not teach a heaven or hell ( a christian addition) but a place of holding until the last day when judgment comes referred to in the scriptures as Sheol. It is a place where everyone goes regardless of who they are.

Second, the prayer referred to is known as the Shema, a declaration in the belief of one God (comes from Deut. 6:4-7) and is recited (at least the first line, "Hear O Israel, the Lord is our God, the Lord is One" (Shema Yisrael Adonai eloheinu Adonai ehad) (Deuteronomy 6:4) is throughout the prayer services. It is said in the morning blessings, in the musaf Amidah of Shabbat and holidays, when the Torah is taken out of the Ark on Shabbat and holidays, as a bedtime prayer, as part of the deathbed confessional, and at various other times, not in times of trouble or distress. When said as an individual the number of words in the Shema add up to 248, the number of parts in the human body.

It is a good story and whether the events happened or not, I can't say because I wasn't there, but there is enough error in the facts to warrant a closer look. I think the storyu is wonderful, thanks for sharing.

There used to be several online groups that solely discussed the Dibbuk box. Very creepy stuff indeed. Possibly something for a golden gun release. eh? I remember a coast to coast am show where the box was discussed. Creepy story about a wine cabinet in the middle of the night definitely kept me awake.

Great topic for a spooky thread Murph Smile

I intend to build a replica after the holidays. I'll gaff it to the hilt and develop some engaging presentations. Should be a fun project.
