Hi
Maybe we can make a list of all puppet makers that you recommend with their websites. That would be helpful for new vents like me. So far I have... Axtell axtellpuppets.net Mary Ann Taylor http://www.matpuppets.com/ Wanlu http://www.wanlu.net/puppets.html |

Dan Paynes is currently making one for me, and I love the extreme customs that he has done.

I suggest you go to Ventriloquist Central click on the Tribute to Ventriloquism and then you can scroll down for a complete listed of figure makers.

I just "won" a wonderful marionette off the "bay" from a J. Emory.
It is a clown skater (inspired by a Fred Cowan piece) with eyes that can blink or wink. For those on puppethub.com he is a member there. Harris

I looked in this thread before and got out, and I had to look again. I clicked on a link and saw a figure that interests me.
I recently bought an early Lovik figure on ebay because he was close to my first figure, but had no plans to gather any more figures unless I built them, hopefully, I will be able to maintain that position - although I have faltered by emailing for a price quote. On the plus side, I've noticed prices have increased dramatically the few years I had my venting on a backburner, so that will probably save me. I need to get started on the basswood head I want to carve, that should keep me in check.

Here's some heads that I am currently building for myself.
http://frankiemalachi.com/vent-figures/ The Santa character has been sold and the lady is my first vent figure that I made. The toucan figure will be posted after the tv shoot is finished.
