This morning Donna told me she had a few errands to run, including a visit to Michael's store, and asked if I wanted to come along. So what did I find as I walked down the aisles?
One item was a bag of assorted corks (real cork) for around five bucks. Small, medium, large, and then some. Okay, make a note of that... The second one was more interesting. They had these little wood craft boxes, complete with tiny hinges and catches, for a couple of bucks. Turns out the entire box was cheaper than buying those same hinges and hasps at the hardware store. Go figure. Third was a bin full of rigid plastic balls, from around three inches in diameter to about eight. Very lightweight, with barely a mold ring. The only "feature" on the surface was a tiny hole, like from where they inflated the plastic into the mold. Otherwise they were almost perfect. My, my, so much inspiration in fifteen minutes.
