Please excuse this if posted in the wrong forum. Please move if appropriate.

I'll be traveling to New York City, from 28Dec to 01Jan and was hoping someone could provide me with a magic itinerary (I'm very excited!) I know that NYC is a mecca of magic possibly 2nd only to Las Vegas, but I'm looking for suggestions just the same. Some ideas that I have include visiting Tannen's magic shop, and seeing Joshua Jay and Oz Pearlman's shows.
Any help appreciated.

Again, I thought there was a forum specifically for travel (or at least there used to be). I scrolled down and down for ages, eventually coming to the end but perhaps I skipped over the appropriate forum.

I would recommend a visit to Fantasma...
Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain.

Fantasma and Tannens is the way to go. If you go to Tannens web site and click on Magic in New York it will give you a list of magic in New York.

Fantasma you will have a lot of fun in.

I'll be in town until the 30th when I leave for my New Year's gig. Let me know if you want any company.

Have a good trip!

Fantasma and Tannens magic shops are within walking distance from each other and there's another shop called Abracadabra magic on the other side of town. Fantasma and Tannens are the 2 main shops, Abracadabra has a small magic section and mainly sells costumes. But it's worth a look. Have fun in the City! P.S.----Kind of in between Fantasma and Tannens is "Tad's Steakhouse", a cool place to eat and the prices are great. Me, my wife and my son always stop there as we're walking from Fantasma to Tannens.

There used to be a daily get-together at noon at the restaurant in The Edison Hotel. Not sure if it still happens, but the food is good and cheap nontheless.
