I'll try to be more helpful
- use a dove pan - or produce a rabbit Basically, select an illusion you can do well without a lot of thinking that produces something the kids are interested in, without using volunteers on stage. So stroking a bunny or eating sweets you've produced always works.

I finish with this:

I finish with either the linking rings or the chair suspension, in my first string show.

I have two main finishes. My favourite is Kovari's passing water. The other one I use is Wolf's fun house.

I end on the snowstorm in china, every time I've done it I've had so many good comments and most of the time I get a standing ovation...

It depends on the ages and the venue (is it a church...a school...or what?) Assuming a neutral venue, here's how I'd break it down by age:
3-5: something ultra-visual & colorful. silk fountain (a big one) with double rainbow throw-streamers and a THE END silk at the finish snowstorm in china card fountain 6-8: Visual again, but with noise/danger/a sucker-punch. arm-chopper / head-chopper flaming dovepan production of a live animal Kablammo Hiphop rabbits / RunRabbitRun both with a live rabbit at the end 9-12: Hit them with your most baffling large effect. A levitation an immaculate vanish
Everybody wants to beleive.....we just help them along.

I have been performing magic for 0ver 50 years and have always closed my kid shows with Abbott's Hippity Hop Rabbits.
In my opinion, there is no finer closer for kids shows. |

Any trick can be your closer as long as you dress it up as such. If you do a trick as per the instructions, it will usually be classed as a 'filler'. But with the right build-up, presentation, jokes or music it suddenly becomes a climax building ending to a show.
Some good examples of this is Hipity Hopity Rabbits. For me its always been a filler, but as Rainbo said above, it can be made into a closer with the right ending. Another is 'Skeleton in the Cupboard'. On its own, its a filler. But do it will 'Skuldini' music playing and its now a closer. Personally I do an arm chopper or puppet routine. If it fits the theme I also end with Misers D'lite. |

I finish all my shows with a candy production, unless the parents object. The kids always go nuts when the see candy appear.

I like the Snowstorm in china but have been using the card rise pad lately. They are both really nice and pack small.

I use the Axtel board. I generally have to ask the kids to sit down and back up 6 or 7 times during the presentation, they get that excited.

As many folks know, I also end a lot of my shows with the Chair suspension Illusion. It is such a great way to make the child the star of the show and is a killer photo opportunity. It is an illusion that anyone can afford as you make your money back easily. It is an investment worth pursuing for sure.
It also is a huge selling point for a lot of parents and seems to be the "icing on the cake" for a lot of them. simple to bring in, easy to set up and gets a great reaction if performed correctly. Kyle

I found that kids young or old love the bunny appear. Once the bunny make an appearance the shows over because the kids want to pet him.
