I'd do the same thing as you and remove it as I respect that sort of thing, but can't really understand it. Great book though.

I suspect it's because video isn't the same thing as a live magic performance.
You can't stop/pause/rewind/slo-mo a live performance to deconstruct what's going on and fully analyze the whole scene -- not just where your attention was initially directed/drawn during the first performance.

To be fair to Jerry, he didn't tell me to remove the video. He emailed me his opinion and pretty much left it to me to decide whether to remove it or not. I think we should keep in mind that it's been a long time since he released his material to the masses and during this time he has changed his opinion with regards to magic, secrets etc. I respect Jerry's opinion and took it upon myself to remove the video.
