I am not old enough to smoke yet. Not that I ever plan to, horrible habit IMHO.

However, I was wondering, for the sake of impromptu magic; when I am practicing cigarrette magic what could I substitute the cigarrette with?

I have tried a few things but nothing really matches the usual size and shape of the common cigarrette.

What do you guys think?

Thanks in advance,

I've incorporated some cigarette moves into my color changing knife work. I use Mogar knives.

Crayons seem like a good choice.

You're welcome. I was just playing with some AA batteries. They're very easy to manipulate and conceal.

That could create a lot of interesting patter. I'll experiment with both in a moment. Once again, thanks for the heads up!

Tell a kid his crayon doesn't work, take out the battery to check it, put it back and now the crayon works fine.

I've used the cap from a Bic, "Brite Liner" highlighter.
They are the same size as a cigarette and the colors are highly visible.

Also, I've found that thumbdrives work well for many cigarrette slights.

Hold your horses there Smile. I haven't watched that DVD in months. Just because I asked a question about cigarrette magic that doesn't mean I am watching it LOL Smile And don't worry about me reading the classics, that seems to be all I am reading right now, Tarbell and BOBO.

Happy Holidays!

I'm a non-smoker, but my wife still has the habit. She found some small cigarette lighters that are just a little larger in diameter than a cigarette.

Speaking of lighters and cig magic...this is something I came up with about 15 years ago...This video is not the best performance, I'll post a new soon.

Pretty cool, RJ! I bet you'll have magis doing that in bars all over the world now. I had played with the one-sided feature of these before, but never with such a completeness. I enjoyed that!
