My whole goal for my magic company is to make it NOT look bad next to your stuff!
You should be an inspiration to every shop everywhere! No wonder there's a waiting list for your stuff!! |

Chance,
How much do those guys pay you to work in that neat shop? Makes me want to shut down for a week and clean up my shop.

Thanks for the compliments guys! It is nice to hear the appreciation and I hope there may be some tips hiding in those epics
Gimpy and Michael, Funny thing is that my shop/production organization was inspired by a buddy of mine who is a home Mechanic. He works on his own hot rods. The first time I went into his shop, I was blown away by the organization of his shop and tools. His two rules were simple. EVERYTHING had its place and EVERYTHING must be cleaned up after use. That stuck with me for many years and I soon found, after running our shop the first couple years NOT following his rules, that he was RIGHT. Production goes ten times smoother and the overall product turns out better for so many reasons. Time management is so critical when you are building magic to pay ALL the bills rather than a supplemental income. In the past, I have spent 20-30 minutes looking for a tool or parts which literally took more time than the job itself!! Too many of those moments and your on your way out of business. More pics to come later tonight showing the Sassy Silk in production....I could not believe how many parts are involved...UUGH! Thanks again Chance

And here, I thought "neat shop" was oxymoronic.

Amazing shop and the props are first class. I wish my shop were clearner also.. I cleaned it five hours today and I'm still not finished.... I just work out of my two car garage and right now I'm working on 4 illusions that must be completed soon.
The Props are almost as big as the garage and it leaves very little room for tools.. Not a safe work place.. I use to be more organized years ago. I had the Peg wall stuff with all the tools and tables etc.... I've moved so much over the years that it seems hard to take the time to get set up right.. I do a lot of shows and are normally pretty tired. Your place is a motavation!!!!!! Keep it up. You do everything in large numbers... Taylor
