Then you should be a millionaire within the New Year. You should also write a book to tell everyone what they are doing is wrong and here is how to do it. I think it would really sell. Perhaps making you a multimillionaire within the New Year.

Here's to 2011! Smile

My favorite performers are funny, charming and are almost irresistibly likable. I won't name one because I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings, but my top favorites have these things in common.

My favorite creator? A man called Annemannassidy Osterbrookbanavallicleod.

Derren Brown for showing me that it's all in the mind.

Surprise! Copperfield! He has some entertaining Mentalism Routines.

Derren Brown and marc spelmann.. think they have it pretty spot on.
And Bob cassidy for his thinking..
The basic tool for the manipulation of reality is the manipulation of words. If you can control the meaning of words, you can control the people who must use the words.

I really respect Osterlind because of all he has taught the fraternity. Ditto for Cassidy.

However last summer I saw both Alain Nu and Banachek lecture at Tannen's. Banachek disclosed a technique that I have found invaluable. Alain Nu proved he has both talent and class.

Derren Brown kind of annoys me. It doesn't seem fair that one guy should have so much talent. Not only is he a great mentalist but have you ever seen his caricatures?

I'm also just a little bit suspicious about whether every single one of his effects is as clean as he claims or implies they are (no stooges, no camera tricks, and presumably no very selective editing). Still he did tour the country and astound audiences all over England with his live stage show, which is a lot more than you say about special effects technician Criss Angel.
I'm selling my hardcover autographed limited edition copy of Jerome Finley's "Thought Veil"

PM me for info.

For various reasons, I choose Max Maven as my favourite.
1. He is a genius.
2. He is the only performer I have seen who can act that way and remain likeable.
3. His stagecraft is as near to perfection that I have seen.
4. He is brilliantly entertaining, fun and mystifying.

That is why he is my favorite too. Plus all the comedy he uses throughout his show.

Derren brown for the fact that he understands his audience. He knows how to be charming, witty, and has an incredible understanding of our art. His success wasn't just luck but a real sence of magic and how to perform it. A read into his Absolute Magic made me pick him as my favorite mentalist.

Derren Brown. He's fast, he's meticulous, he does the unexplainable, he's smooth, he's well groomed.
Max Maven: He's smart, he's clever, he's super-mystifying, he speaks well, he sounds great, he's a little scary, he's super-smooth, he's well groomed.
Richard Osterlind: He fools himself, he fools others, he relaxes you, he's natural, he's well groomed.
Steve Cohen: He's figured it all out, he's flawless, he's very well groomed.
