The magic trick is called "Intercessor" by Gaetan Bloom. It is basically a torn corner card to an impossible location trick. I have been finishing my version with a three ball juggling routine done with three oranges. I one by one throwing the wrong two oranges into the audience, and finish by cutting open the last orange revealing the matching torn corner card. The length of the three ball routine is up to you (a great place to add in some contact juggling), but it is an easy to do jaw droping magic trick.

I have been doing this routine next to last in my show since Christmas, the comedy options are limitless, you can throw oranges back and forth with as many people in the audience as you want, and volunteers have asked me if they can keep the torn corner sticky card at the end. Adding a great new routine to your show is like finding gold.

I really like this idea Al and feel that you could possibly add a lottery/gambling theme to it. Putting numbers on the oranges and juggling those, if you can hold a 5 ball cascade for a while you could have the numbers called out and you throw that person an orange. Keep juggling 4, have another called out, throw orange. Down to 3. Then two and finally you are left with just one.
This single orange is the one that gets cut open and has the matching corner inside. Obviously you could do this with a 3 ball cascade, but I think 5 means the routine seems more impossible and simulates a lottery machine more. You could possibly go as far as predicting which number orange is chosen too. Or that could be overkill... I'm just jamming ideas at the moment. In fact thinking about it, have a spectator blindfolded on one side of you and another with a huge net on the other side of you. The blindfolded spec calls out "NOW" or some such word to indicate that you throw an orange in to the net. Obviously you have kept an eye on where the special orange is and if you happen to be holding it in your right hand at the point of call you throw one out with your left, and if its in your left throw one out with your right. This way you get the appearance of a completely random choice from the human lottery machine. But you are in reality in complete control. Hmmm... quite like that. Nice one Al
