I've been performing as Magical Michael for quite some time. Now that I'm moving deeper into mentalism, I see that I need to make some drastic changes to my website (to focus my marketing). Someone suggested that a name change is something else I need to seriously consider, since "Magical" may imply tricks too implicitly. Someone else suggested that, to the lay public (including corporate event coordinators) the current name may be a benefit, since so many people don't know what a mentalist should exude - if you will. What is the general line of reasoning when it comes to names?

Even for corporate work I think a name change might be a good idea. The first thing I associate with "Magical Michael" is a birthday party magician. My suggestion is that you simply use your real name. Be proud of it and sell yourself as who you are - you!
