That doesn't mean it's legal, just that they will, in fact work. In most countries, there is little chance that a set of walkie talkies that work on an unapproved band will be caught much less prosecuted UNLESS someone starts to market them in that country. I just received my Hobbs Box from Outlaw.
First I must say that it looks great! The aging looks real good and it even smells sort of funky with an incense type smell. I was amazed at how clear and loud the bell that is included will ring. I also have the Templar on order and I am looking forward to see what it can do with that. It will also make th eperfect home for my WA an aged set of Tarot cards that I made, a pendulum, and some other artifacts that I have not yet decided on. I am going to order some good strong N50 or N52 shimming material and experiment with some things. -Max |

I knew there was a special Hobb's box if requested, but now she is open for all to purchase over on the Outlaw site,Rick has added the Ultimate Key Box combo with the Hobb's!
The combo is Awesome! Now we can get the best of both worlds, the hobb's and now a Luna Key box attached. I love the Hobb's alone, but Rick has taken it a step closer to a true classic! If any of you were sitting on the fence about Hobb's,there is no need to think about it now,it is a give me! Anyone, that has Luna will want this! I was wanting to get a luna key box!...I may have to sell my Hobb's to get the combo! Nah,just have to get some more Kidneys and get the other new one too! Thanks!(Dark Lord)Rick, and the Outlaw bunch! Gary

Those looney for Luna must have her.
Key Box and Hobb's combo is all kinds of cleverness. She will definitely be on my short list of "Box of the year" nominees. |

That's the perfect combo! Is it large enough for the first three editions of Luna??

The three hardcovers will fit in a standard Hobbs Box but with the keys in the lid they will not fit.
So the box needs additional depth in the lid to fit the keys and all three books. The additional depth makes the key display look better too, and adds to the deceptiveness of the piece overall. I have posted pictures down in the Crypt. |

Indeed, I have no access to the crypt. 14 more posts to go ;-)
I saw the picture on the Outlaw site. It looks great. Also I have answers from Rick. It goes direct on my wishlist... |

I would like to duplicate the remote control of my Hobbs Box.
Who could tell me the frequency used 433 MHz or 315 MHz? Thanks, Olivier |

After initially contacting Rick in March of this year about it, and several emails back and forth with him (and his putting up with some of my ridiculous ideas for engraving/inside note) I received my Hobbs yesterday. It was indeed worth the wait.
It's a lovely piece of artisan work. Others have have been far more elegant in this thread about craftsmanship and appearance, and they're absolutely correct. And it works a treat. (I think I even creeped myself out a bit with it.) If you order one, yes, it will likely take some time to ship. For me, this was useful time, as it allowed me distance from 'the thing' in order to focus on 'the story of the thing' which is far more important. Now that I have 'the thing', 'the story' - a true one, involving banking, politics, a castle, loss, betrayal, and suicide - has something to ground it. And now I can't wait to start telling the story. |

Mike, consider adding the templar and/or the Hobbs hand to the routine. Both work well IMO. Tell us more about the story!

And an other question: in this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lwI4Pt-5pog), the guy uses a little box with flash cotton. What's the name of this kind of box ? A Flash Box ?
Thank you ! |
