When I saw Lonnie Chevrie do his Spritz bill switch change it was nothing but Pure beautiful Magic, something we all strive for iin all our effects. Currently it's the only bill switch I use, no TT, exactly like Lonnie teaches it on his DVD because it's pure magic.

I thought extreme burn was incredible but it was not very easy to do with paper to money, as being from England I couldn't do bill to bill as they are all different sizes. Which is why I am going to get first hand it looks as good and doesn't matter what bill sizes are

I've found that Extreme Burn 2.0 works perfectly with UK Lottery tickets changing to £20 notes. I also have a bill to other currency bill version but it doesn't get the same reactions as different bills still have similarities and it doesn't seem as magical as turning worthless paper into real money. Just my 2 pence worth!

I personally like Jay Sankey's tt version best. I like the versatility of the tt. I like gift magic. Jeff McBride has a DVD set that has a lot of good gift magic, much using a tt, and the tt makes for a great bill switch too.

I'm going to add my switch to this list (as it's my birthday today).
It's called The Moby Dick Switch or TNT Switch. Instant reset. Can be done with any currency (different sizes £5 to £50 and plastic notes). Can be done with borrowed money. Bills can be fully examined before and after change. live clip: http://youtu.be/KbwhkTvW-Tc Newer home clip taken by son: http://youtu.be/HZhND_RD4KY My latest clip, a selfie with Australian Currency. http://youtu.be/pAIRiCcDk9c Best thanks to Glenn West for his personal support. Inspiration & thanks also goes to Jahn Gallo's Osaka Bills, Juan Pablo, Richard Sanders & Vladimir Vladimirov.

Wow Eric - you keep teasing us with your Moby Dick Switch/TNT Switch. When are you going to market it or make it available to the rest of us?

Why do many performers close their eyes when
they do a move? .. ...

Yup, thanks for pointing that out, I never even noticed that I was doing it as I was concentrating on the bill, trust another magician to point that out (I wish someone had pointed it out earlier on one of the other threads I was testing this on).
I'll get it published when I can perform it without blinking. Seriously, actually, I've got no idea about publishing so may never get it published. I just thought that the Moby Dick Switch belongs on a "Best Bill Switch" list (it ticks as many boxes as the best of them). Umm, should I pull that clip from youtube now? (all that you're watching is me blinking). Okay, I've pulled it. Blinkin' Blinkin'!

To be in the best bill switch list.It
would have to be a effect on the market. So customer's would have a chance to voice their opinon on the effect. Todd |

Restaurant3000..Consider it constructive criticism.. ..
but don't feel alone..I have dvds of some of the top performers around who do this. Some so bad, I have to cover their face on the tv screen. ...

That's fine! I'm sensitive of my performance, it's the first live recorded one of the switch, and I hadn't been doing it that long at the time.
To continue the discussion however, does anyone ask why Hiro closes his eyes when teleporting through time and space in the t.v. series Heroes? Would anyone question a mentalist for closing his eyes and furrowing his brows during his performance? To be honest, would anyone apart from a magician ask why another magician was closing his eyes? The clips works fine as an early demo (and yes I do close my eyes during the effect in concentration as if by pure will alone I am changing a £5 into a £50) surely that's logical? I'll be back when I get more recent live performances (got to go back to the bank for another £50 again first). And the final answer as to what the best bill switch is... Your favorite one (I think that's been said before). Although the first question on this thead was "what looks the most visual?"

I like the classic bill switch that uses the magician's friend as a gimmick and looks very good. You fold it up, you unfold it and it's something else - simple!
