If it is Gaelic I'd say it is an Irish guy! Since you are on a strong man kick...an Irish Strongman!

He was sort of the Hercules of Ireland. He had to serve a king for going on a berserker rage and killing some folks he shouldn't have. Was as popular in Ireland as Herc was in Greece or Thor in Scandanavia.

Metallica's bassist, died in a bus crash, Kirk Hammett still has guilt!
One of the greatest bassists who ever lived! Also the reason they never fully accepted the other guy. Cliff 'Em All!

Cliff never would've shaved his head, and he would've kept 'em on track. They had good post-Cliff albums and great songs, but the last great Metallica album was Master of Puppets, and it's no coincidence.

Having trouble putting your finger on it? I'd love to give you a hand, but may require some buttering up.

Okay, I was up all night because I ran out of meds and I obsessed on this stupid guy. I remember the name from a documentary on that town in Florida where the circus people live and I keep thinking it is the Alligator man, who was a nice old guy married to a bearded woman (who wasn't bearded cuz she cut it off and was also elderly, I'm thinking they both are gone now). That name was on the documentary and I remember Melvin the dwarf with the nails, the Alligator guy and wife, and a sign painter and a guy with a handle bar mustache. Wait, I just read the clue and you said buttering up. There was a guy who use to do the freak shows who did something like accidentaly killed someone who was the lobster boy and he would be buttered, well not him but a lobster would be. He had deformed arms but he wasn't spoken to in the documentary cuz he may have been dead already but he lived in that florida town, Gilbertville or something. Do you put butter on alligator if you eat it? He hand hands though his problem was a skin condition of some sort. Based on the clue I'd say lobster boy but I really was thinking Alligator until that.
