Landmark called it. She claimed to be delivering rabbits. She is, by the way, the source for the iconic (but almost never performed) magic trick of pulling a rabbit out of a hat. Apparently a magician thought it would be a fitting sight gag for the time.

Are you certain that's not "Granpa Munster's" real name?

Largely ineffective confederate Civil War general who founded the KKK (and after whom the fictitious Forrest Gump was named).

Guess they forgot to tell Bill Buckley.

That's him. First grand wizard of the KKK. Also a terrible businessman.
Was an important figure in the failed attempt by the South to replace black slaves with Chinese contract labor after the Civil War.
The plan failed when the Chinese didn't take kindly to being whipped.
That's not on Wikipedia. Don't know why. Kind of a big deal.

New Yorkers know this one.
How to put this delicately?
He is (was?) an artist who among other works created one that featured a religious symbol in a jar of urine.
Lots of interesting debate, since he was partly funded by and then defunded by, the NEA.

Speaking of Forests, how about Edwin Forrest?
