Which direct mail vendor are you all recommending for contact info on Retirement Centers, Daycare's, or other markets? Thanks.

I would recommend finding a good LOCAL vendor. National vendors usually have older lists I've found. Probably best to go by SIC codes OR via trade association member database lists.

I actually use a great tool called sendout cards. It allows you to send post cards, greeting cards, set up campaigns to you never forget to send cards. I do not sell sendout cards but if you want to know more contact Mike Fisher aka Engine on the Café.
You can also send Starbucks gift cards and other awesome gifts with your cards. For example, I sent gourmet brownies to my top 30 clients of the year. I also send a $10 starbucks gift card with a thank you card each time I get a referral that turns into a booking. I love it. |

Thanks for the responses. Elsewhere, someone suggested that I build a free mailing list by using google maps. Supposedly each state should have an agency that inspects these facilities and a free list is available from them. I'll have to look into that also.
Jonathan, thanks for the reminder about SendoutCards.com I've looked at that before and it sounds tempting. I use Act! as a contact manager for my customers. Did you have to manually input your customer base into the sendout card contact manager, or does it allow you to upload an export from other sources (Act! for me)? I've been sending gas cards as thank you gifts for referrals. I'd not be surprised if sendout has those too. |
