Hey guys,

I wanted to let everyone know about an exciting project I've been working on! It's called The SocialGrowth, and it is awesome. The SocialGrowth was designed to teach buiness owners and professionals from all walks of life how to market their business using social networking. We achieve this through the use of easy to understand educational videos. Membership is inexpensive, and gives the user access to a myriad of educational videos that can be viewed right in your browser. You can pause, stop, and rewind the videos as much as you'd like. Currently we are offering instruction on what we feel are the four biggest platforms; Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Plaxo. New videos are added weekly as social networking sites are constantly evolving, and training videos for YouTube, and Google are already in production. This means you'll never be in the dark about a feature or tool of the sites you are on. As they say "knowing is half the battle."

Well this sound interesting, networking on the internet network. Don't have to come in contact with any real people, don't have to share a cup of latta. With all the fraud on the internet, how do you distingish the scam artist from the real people. How do you know you are really meeting a president or CEO of IBM.

"Social networking is the practice of expanding the number of one's business and/or social contacts by making connections through individuals. While social networking has gone on almost as long as societies themselves have existed, the unparalleled potential of the Internet to promote such connections is only now being fully recognized and exploited, through Web-based groups established for that purpose.

Based on the six degrees of separation concept (the idea that any two people on the planet could make contact through a chain of no more than five intermediaries), social networking establishes interconnected Internet communities (sometimes known as personal networks) that help people make contacts that would be good for them to know, but that they would be unlikely to have met otherwise. In general, here's how it works: you join one of the sites and invite people you know to join as well. Those people invite their contacts to join, who in turn invite their contacts to join, and the process repeats for each person. In theory, any individual can make contact through anyone they have a connection to, to any of the people that person has a connection to, and so on.

Web sites dedicated to social networking include Friendster, Linkedin, Spoke, and Tribe Networks. IBM and Microsoft are among organizations said to be considering entering this market."

Is this what you are offering for a fee? Wouldn't it be better offer it for free and get your revenue from advertising like Facebook.

Wmhegbli,

Perhaps you are confused as to what we do. The SocialGrowth is a site that teaches our members the ins and outs of the major social networking platforms. Your understanding of what online social networking is seems a bit blurred. Yes social networking sites are inviting contacts to befriend you, and asking their contacts to befriend you as well. However the main social networking platforms of today offer us many more capabilities than just adding friends. Facebook alone allows us to create fan pages, create and invite friends to events, post video, pictures, and links, as well as a myriad of other things. All of these features play a unique role in marketing ones business online. So to answer your question, yes, we are charging a small monthly fee for access to our in depth training videos. To answer the second part, no, we will not be selling ad space. We do not want out users to be bothered by obnoxious ads; our site is a place of learning. That is what you pay for, and that is what you get.

You have a nice site with valuable info. But nothing new here. There are many websites and blogs that already teach the information you provide. Many of those charge nothing. They should charge, as you are doing.

Yes I did misunderstand your post, and that quote is from the famous Wikapedia site.

Let's me understand, you will train me how to meet people. Then tell me how to network their businesses with mine. If not what will you teach me, as I am still not clear at what you are going to teach me.

Wmhegbli,

Networking and promoting ones business on social networking sites is becoming increasingly harder as each day goes by. Where in the past we may click on a link in a friends status, we are now weary and understand it most likely is spam. Events are created, but increasingly overlooked. What our site provides is up to date tactics and legit ways to organically promote your business online. It is no longer as simple as signing up for these sites and adding friends, it has become a game. As with any game you need to know how to play before you can become successful at it. We are simply teaching you the rules, and giving you tips on how to play the game to your fullest advantage. Currently we are offering training on what we consider the four major platforms. However in the future months we will be rolling out training on YouTube, myspace, google tools, and even blog building. Our only goal is to bring as much value and support to our members as we can. There are many systems out there that charge 100 times what we are charging, and only teach you tactics relevant to today. Our videos database is constantly updated as the social networking platforms change, as well as the way people use them change. Thank you all for the positive feedback, the questions asked here have given us some new questions to add to our FAQ section. If you have anymore questions don't be afraid to ask!
