The books I am currently looking for that are out of print are.
1- The Yellow Book of Mentalism - Phil Goldstein
2- Still Further Classic Magic, The Albo series Volume #5 - Robert Albo
I have most of the others mentioned and having a real hard time finding the 2 I need.

I don't actually think that kenner's book is better than john bannon. that is my opinion in any case Smile I found smoke and mirrors a better read and use more effects out of there. kenner's stuff is flashy, bannon's is thoughtful and brilliant.

I am looking for:
Yellow and Violet books of Mentalism
The Five Points in Magic
The Magic Way

David,
Good luck on the Yellow & Violet books of Mentalism.
I have been searching for a long time for Yellow and just never seem to be able to find it..I understand the Yellow and Violet are the two hardest to find.

The Compleat Invocation (even though it's not complete - missing the Docc Hilford years).

Would love to get my hands on a copy of J.K. Hartman's Card Craft.

I think an often overlooked book is "Magic For Everyone - The Berg Book." It has some wonderful recollections from Joe Berg's days as a dealer, plus a wide variety of interesting magic. Definitely not a specialist's book, but as a general text I think it's very good.

Gordon,

You are right. Thanks for reminding me about this book. Not only is it a good "genreralist text", it also contains the instructions (and the workings) of most (if not all) of Joe Berg's magic items.

Knowing this information is extremely helpful for making your own props since the Joe Berg props are long gone (I think).

Looking for "The Book of Secrets; Lessons for Progressive Conjuring" by John Carney.

Not sure whether it's out of print... the author's website lists it as "temporarily out of stock."

3rds on The Berg Book. His take on the Nudist Deck is brilliant (strip them out and bank separately, then run his handling), the Hank Knot is superb, and the props and gafficusses are great. It should come back out as a $25 paperback.
