True enough. I intend to. I have been fortunate to travel quite a bit for work over the years, and I have seen a good number of remarkable sights. Hopefully I will get to see these things before the long sleep.
Pakar, I will break down and see those movies eventually, I feel certain. |

My ex-cat was named "Muffin". "Vomit" would be a better name for her. AKA "The Evil Ball of Fur".

I went THREE times to watch it take off and it never did. It did take off over our ship once and we watched the smoke then there was a flash and that sucker was gone, we were still looking at where we thought it was and it was heading toward Africa.

I've never seen the Shuttle being launched in person either. I did by chance see a rocket that was launched from Vandenburg airbase in California. I had seen the vapor trail from it just over the mountain and I looked just a bit higher could still see the glow from the flames of the engine(s) as it was going up. Watched it for maybe 45 secs before it blinked out. Only time I had see one while it was still going up. When I was much younger we did see one that had to be blown up after launch that was a spectacular sight.

I missed attending a Jim Steinmeyer lecture in Toronto (being held like 2 blocks away from the museum) at the same time to do it. Sort of regret the choice I made, but the hard to get museum tickets a friend of mine had were set for a certain time and day. Anyway, I guess there are lots of things I have not seen, but none of the omissions are all that astonishing. And there are many things I look forward to seeing some day.

Been around the world several times, and seen an awful lot of things, but what is most notable about my travels is that I have never been in the southern hemisphere.
I've got a very long list of what I'd like to see. Right now what comes to mind is Tierra del Fuego. |

The southern hemisphere rocks.
And I've never been in the northern hemisphere.

These are things I don't think anyone has ever seen!
You never see a Rolls Royce with a bumper sticker that says "**** happens." You never see a really big, tall, fat Chinese guy with red hair. You never see a wheelchair with a roll bar. You never see someone taking a **** while running at full speed. And you never see a picture of Margaret Thatcher strapping on a *****. -George Carlin |

Been to Tierra Del Fuego (do you know they have a GM facility there? They test stuff) and it isn't that impressive.

Always dreamed of seeing the Pacific. Got there aged 34 Easter '06, amphibious tour bus in San Diego broke down at sea in a wicked gale, driving rain. I was in t-shirt and shorts, soaked to the skin, chilled to the bone. The Beach Boys lied to me, man.
