I was wondering what people think is the greatest mentalism effect that exists where the method is still a secret (i.e. not marketed, known by just a handful, etc). My vote would be for the Berglas Effect although in April it may no longer be a mystery. Curious as to what others have to say.

The answer to that Mr Ilusi is that its not really receding at all ,his forehead is stretching .Measurements from tip of widows peak to end of ponytail have never altered ......

The greatest Mentalism mystery is probably a very well performed Q&A. The metholody could and should be multiple-fold and involve pre-show, electronics, hypnosis, and a hundred other methods. But ultimately the most deceptive point is being able to give lots of information and then say "...but you didn't right that down did you?"

It is not the routines performed by Derren Brown but the expectation of the neophytes that come on here all hoping to get an answer.
