Here are six of my favourite personal effects... I'd love to hear your thoughts on them!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N5R9ZahrWeU 3-Gone Jinn: A three coin vanish and reproduction with a faux explanation at the end resulting in a Coins to Pocket effect. Negative Image: Two decks change colour, logically, under incredible conditions. Stranger Exchange: An outgrowth of the popular Paul Harris effect, a coin and card super-visually transpose despite the coin being isolated in the card box. No extra coins or cards used. Ripped At The Seam: My anytime, anywhere go-to torn and restored card... competely impromptu, using only one card and several convincers throughout. One of the most practical and angle efficient piece-by-piece restorations reminiscent of Paul Harris' Ultimate Ripoff. Copper Toss: A visual, fooling Copper/Silver effect with no extra coins and a very bold, fun method. The Fantastic Fours: Part "4 and 1 Transpo", part "Collectors", part superhero epic... All magic.

Mike is there any way you can lighten your video with your video editing software? It's very dark and hard to see.

I had to darken it unfortunately... because otherwise there would be an annoying white glare on all of the cards and coins and the effects would be difficult to see. This is the easiest, most visible way.

I agree with Tim here, too dark. Perhaps Tim can advise you as his videos are crisp??

The video itself is dark, but the props are all visible... I don't really understand the issue with that.

Mike, you asked for feedback and knowledgeable folks are telling you the video is too dark. I would take their advice. If it's important to you, then you should re-shoot them, otherwise it looks very amateurish, and your audience misses a lot of good magic.

If I can find the time to do so, I may reshoot... I was just having camera trouble that evening. My apologies for the darkness of the video, and for the time being, I hope you enjoy the magic regardless!

Different monitors may display the video differently. To me the video was dark but I could see the props ok. The biggest problem with that is we can't see you and you are the most important prop! Doing magic is great. But its just a way to sell yourself for rebookings.

Thank you Chad... I think it varies for different monitors. Like you, on my own laptop monitor, I can see all of the props perfectly but I'm kind of in the shadows. No worries, I'll reshoot these videos very soon!

I agree with the video being to dark, however well done on the effects. Maybe try shooting your video in the daylight?

The quality of the video does not bother me. Michael, you have a few novel ideas. Also, the moves are competently executed; however, I do not think you have a strong grasp on constructing a powerful effect. The effects seem procedural to the point of being cluttered. Furthermore, the sleights are sprinkled at awkward points throughout the tricks. For example, in three gone jinn there seems to be no offbeat. Everytime you do a move it seems like an event. Lastly, watch the gangly awkward pinky when you classic palm. Goodluck.

Thank you for your thoughts Don! I'll put some touches on the magic structurally.
