So all the occultists already know who Lon Milo Duquette, but how many of you have heard his music?
I like it, what do you think? Lon Milo DuQuette - By The Light Of The Silvery Moon: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Ap7Q1bxrDY (a curse on George W. Bush on a ukelele - more funny, less music) Sweet Babalon http://www.youtube.com/user/lonmilo#p/a/u/2/owlNG8liC6A (a song praising Bablon, funny and beautiful both. Prefaced with a funny story) Guardian Angel in Disguise http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PAOxAEmSGpk (I think this is a very nice song. I also think his guitar looks very cool, if I ever play the guitar I want one like that.)

That was beautiful, it was right up there with psuedo punk gypsy music.

To be fair, if you've read any of his books or heard him speak he is exactly the opposite of pompous. He is incredibly funny and self deprecating. He is also a very well respected teacher on "esoteric" type stuff.
Most of his songs are playing (with tongue firmly in cheek) with concepts that his audience is familiar with and most of his audience is not specifically there to see him play music. Think of it as the occultist/pagan equivalent of those sappy inspirational christian songs we've all heard. I actually like them quite a bit. I don't know if that makes him more or less appealing

I don't really believe in anything, so I have no idea what you are talking about, and as Santa wisely pointed out I enjoy music that they don't hear in the desert.

That being said, I'm not sure why your beliefs, or lack thereof would prevent you from understanding and I'm not sure what anything on this thread has to do with music they would hear in the desert. As far as gypsy music goes... has anyone seen Vengo? It's great!

I simply don't get it Ah, well that's understandable. As to Gypsy Punk music ...I liked it. Vengo is different. It's a movie (same director as Latcho Drom) that has lots of traditional gypsy music and flamenco dancing. It's really good, here's the trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k-Azgnhh2hg MAGICSANTA LOL! Craig Fergusen singing Istanbul ...too cool for words! We used to sing that song at my summer camp.

The Zimmers could be a back up group for that Lon Duquette guy.
Why do so many English people have missing front teeth. Have they no dentist's in England?

I was wrong, I've never heard of the Zimmers.
