I'd like to read some reviews of two new books, The Magic of Yogano - English translation and Goebel by William Rausher. Anyone?

Has even one single person bought either of these books? What's up?

I have bought both but unfortunately I haven't found time to read either. I do own all of Bill Rauscher's books and I can say his biographies and historical books are first rate. In just glancing thru the Goebel book it looks excellent - many photos both in color and B&W. But again - I would buy any book by him sight unseen as he is an excellent author.
The Yogano book I can't say much about. It disappointed me when I first received it not realizing it was a softcover and was that expensive. However anyone seriously interested in illusions probably would want this book. He has a large following and while his book is expensive as well as hard to find it appears to be in demand. Viking is sold out and Steven's sold out once but now has some more in. On Viking's site they give a more detailed description of the contents and if you do a Google search you'll find more info including some Café postings about some of his illusions. Hope this helps, Dave |
