Since I have no plans to purchase any more figures, I wanted to take a group photo of my little "vent family" (just the hard figures) to use as the wallpaper on my computer and to take to the store and print a picture I could put in a frame.
So I thought I'd post a picture here to share. I added names to the one I downsized to post here, and below it, I have a direct link to a different and larger shot of them. (btw, please notice, the thread does not say "my" vent family group photo - just "vent family group photo", so hopefully others will post some group photos also) So here they are, "The Dickens Family"; http://i138.photobucket.com/albums/q264/......0488.jpg

Would you mind taking a minute and redoing the shot and listing each makers name with each figure? I would be interested in seeing "Who da Pappa" for each. Thanks.

Name your practice figure; he looks sad with no name and he can’t even look at the camera.
This may have to be reported to the county Ventriloquist figure care services It is a nice photo; you do have a very nice Dickens family of figures |

Great picture and family you have there!!! Maybe you will inspire more of us to post our "family" pics too! I think your "un-named practice figure" looks like a "Rudy" to me:o) Maybe you should have a "name my figure" contest here on the forum(?). Would be fun unless you prefer to name your figures yourself which is more than understandable:o)

He may end up with a name at some point soon as I've been thinking of doing some work on him and turning him into another character I've been thinking about - then he will have to have a name.

Okay, Capt. Kirk and daffydoug, go for it, but you will have to come up with two names.
The character I want to turn him into is a goofy superhero type character. The tricky part will be coming up with material different than Dunham uses for Melvin, not that I'd ever be any competition, but I wouldn't want someone seeing me use him and have them saying "that's just like.....", if I can't come up with something different, I'll have to scrap the whole idea. If I can come up with something different, then I was thinking of naming him "Clark" (ala Superman, except his last name would naturally be "Dickens"), and he would be like the Superman comics, for those who read those, there were different Supermen along the way that came from different places like the Bizzaro one. He would be from a different place, maybe a little known place called Earth. Haven't really scoped out the possibilities, it's just and idea that recently started to form for a novelty character.

Blueshawk,
Thanks for posting the makers names. Most were as expected, but a couple of surprises. Steve http://www.thedummyshoppe.com |

The ones that threw me were "Hannibal" (I have not seen that much of Ricks work and it almost looks a bit like a Selburg)and Mr. NoName. His large round cheeks threw me. A bit out of character for a Lovik.

Thank you Dan and everyone who liked the shots (and thank you for taking the time to look at them).
Oooo, Rick's looks almost like a Selberg? - that has to be my crappy photography skills (personally speaking, I'm not a fan of the Selberg look). The Lovik with the big cheeks was part of one of his last lines of lower priced figures called Sidekicks (I think that's what they were called). The eyes are actually stickers, and there's plastic across the eye openings, which serves to protect those paper eyes and it has worked. One of the things I want to do with him is get rid of the plastic across the eye openings and replace those eyes with regular figure eyes.
