Extreme Tracking
by Martin Vetter (creator of Gemstone Genesis)

The magician starts to talk about 'tracking'. A much used skill by magicians and gamblers alike.
He uses the spectators shuffled deck to demonstrate the 'Basic Tracking' skill and asks the spectator to remember anyone of the couple of cards he is shown.
The magician then uses 5 seconds to look the deck through but is not changing the order of it and then devide it into two piles. He asks the spectator to reveal the chosen card. The magician then immediately points to one of the two piles - the one containing the choosen card. Now the effect is repeated but this time the spectator has a total FREE CHOICE of a card to name - again the magician immediately points to the right pile.
After this the magician will demonstrate what is called 'Extreme Tracking'. In stead of tracking only one card he will track half the deck!
The cards are totally mixed up by the spectator and it is dealt into two equal piles. The spectator chooses which one the magician should use (no force). The magician displays the other pile face up to indicate that there is no system involved whatsoever. They are clearly mixed. He then picks up the choosen pile and very fast sort it into two piles face down. The two piles are shown to contain the red and the black cards, neatly separated. The magician has kept track of those 26 cards all along the way!

* Impromptu
* Spectators deck can be used
* The deck is shuffled by the spectator
* No difficult slights, only simple moves involved.
* No Gaffs
* No forces
* Just pure magic!

What do you think of the effect? Smile
I'm planning to release a demo soon Smile
