My wifes friend is a scumbaggette. Her husband is a scumbag, his brother is a mega scumbag, their children have grown to be junior scumbags, their friends are scumbags. I don't like these people. The shining light in this bag filled with scum was a sister of the husband named Linda who was an absolute doll and stunningly attractive. I'll tell you what type of gal she was (as you can guess Linda just died), she had a sister who was, surprisingly, a scumbaggette who prefered booze and drugs to her child. Linda took the kid in at around six months of age, no real paper work, just took him in because the alternative was the state taking him. At six he was diagnosed w/ muscular dystrophy and w/in a couple years was in a wheel chair where in his late 20's he still resides. Linda cared for him and never received a dime of support, never was allowed to adopt him by her idiot sister who ran around claiming "I'm a great mom!" while seeing the kid once every year or two. MDA never gave help other than letting him attend a two week camp (has MDA ever done anything for anyone? Let me know because I've yet to find anyone who has gone to anything other than a camp), and basically worked and spent all her time, as did her husband who is a great guy, caring for the young man. Linda was always sweet, interesting, and as a cowgirl made jeans look the way jeans were suppose to look. I wouldn't even attend an event with my wifes friends family unless she and her husband were there and I'd just hang with them rather than hear about the going rate for meth from the rest of the rats.
Linda died of cancer the other day and left a completely devestated husband and young man behind. I bring this up because when you support local charities that help the cancer victims and those that have illnesses such as muscular dystrophy then the money may go to help them through their last days or with care and needed expenses for the person who has a challenge. There are few people who would do for others as Linda did every day and she ended up dying far too young (for you keeping score she did not drink, smoke, do drugs, and I can tell you she was in great shape). Hey, maybe your help can get a wheel chair to a kid who really needs one....who knows. Have a good day. |

I'm sorry for your loss Santa, truly, and my thoughts go out to her family.
It is certainly always good to support charities. It's sad that it often takes the illness of one we know to get us to start, but at least something good can come of it. (Not implying, or accusing anyone of anything with that, please, do not take offense.) So often when one we know dies, it really feels like there is nothing we can do, but this can help a small bit with that feeling of hopelessness.

My Mother is lucky, her cancer is in remission after the operation she had.
I'm so sorry for your loss Santa and for the state your family seems to be in. For those here who cannot give Money, perform your Magic/Mentalism at fundraisers, for free. It helps pull in the crowds and can also cheer up some patients if at a Hospital, especially the kids... (Bring your kids so they know how the world is and how we can make it a little bit better...) A good post in memory of your dear Linda, Santa. May she be in Happiness now resting in Peace wherever she may be...

I'm really concerned about the young man she raised. What a great woman she was. Yeah, do what you can but remember some of the big charities don't do a lot other than do things to raise more money.

Quite true. Often the bigger things get, the worse they get at accomplishing anything but collecting money.
