He hasn't published it anywhere. This is a pet routine he tours with. By the way, that is only part of it. The full work is about 6min long.

Thanks Fabio.
I'm sure I read that it was in some lecture notes at one stage. I might be wrong though. |

It probably has a few ideas here and there, like the flame over the hankerchief for example. I don't think he eer released his full work on this routine, even separatedly, but who knows.

I seem to remember a trick very similar to that in the magic catalogs about 30 years ago. I never bought it, but it did intrigued me. I don't know if it's the same trick, but that's the way it was described in the catalog.
Don’t know if it’s still available or not. |

I found the name of this old trick in an Abbotts catalog. It's called "Candle Lite." I'm not sure how old this catalog is but the illustrations as I remember it is exactly the same.
The description of the trick goes like this, “With the aid of this clever little gimmick you can carry the flame from one candle to another – back and forth. Or, you can remove the flame from a candle and use it to light your cigarette. You can use the flame to touch off flash paper or in any other effect where you need a flame to show it is real. With this method the flame may be carried shielded by the fingers or visibly with the hand being shown back and front at any time. A completely new idea – the best – purchased by those who recognize a clever item.” I found a site that sells it, (if it is the same trick). Click here to check it out http://www.dhgate.com/candle-lite---magi......a2f.html and here too http://www.52magic.com/product_708.html |

Like most of Mayoral's work, they are dealer demos. Great gimmicks, but not a F.I.S.M. act.

I suggest you to seperate all the effects and try to find each one in different magic shops.
For exemple : - Flame on thumb or fingertips - Flame Candle Silk (I've seen this one years ago in an austrian magic shop catalog from Viennamagic) - Candle Production etc... Good search. Oliver. |

When I saw him I asked him the question. He told me that he doesn't want to publish this particular routine...

That is one beutiful routine. Exellecnt applause cues(each time he spins the rope the audience screams), Good timing, and a fun concept of manipulating a flame.

Don't forget that this was shot for TV so they might help a little bit with the audience reaction. On the other side it's quite diffcult to manage a kids audience to applause when needed. When kids feel it looks great they'll react on their own. So maybe I'm wrong...

The idea of moving the fire from the candle and holding on your fingers already exists and there are many gimmicks on the market.
the interesting parts are the fire on silk and rope as well as (the most impressive) the fire that moves and the end of the effect across the table.I have some ideas on how the full routine is done that have big possibilities to be right. |

The ending where the flame travels from the table back to the candle wick looks very similar to Levent's "self igniting Fantasio candle" found on his (Levent's) Manipulation Act DVD. I'm not saying it's the same method, but could be used for a similar effect.
Cheers! Matt M.

The thing you mean is very obvious to understand just by thinking the reason he placed the first (normal) candle in his coat and then used it again (remove a gimmicked one).nothing complicated to search
