I've been using the little slide loader thing from the Adams Jiffy Coin Trick to load a coin into a sugar packet. I just lost it, and was about to get another when I thought to check and see if there are any other devices specifically for this purpose. Is there a coin loader/slide other than the one that comes with the Jiffy trick that might get a coin into the packet even better? Thanks!

You can cut and glue some match boxes together to make a slide. Are you having the coin signed? If not, just pre-load a sugar packet and magician's f*rce it to make it more "impossible".

Hi Douglas,
Thanks. I am having the coin signed. By the way, as a theory, I don't personally believe that the spectator choosing which packet it's in is more magical than it being in a specific one which the magician has to hunt for. More impossible, maybe. But maybe not more magical/believable. When I add my packet to the handful of packets that I have the spec hand me, I go through them as if I have to find the one that the coin has traveled to. It seems to engage people much more than implying that I could make it appear in whichever one they choose. Just food for thought. Anyway, my new Jiffy Coin Trick came today, and the slide from it still makes for the perfect slide for this trick, so I guess I'll keep using it. Thanks for the suggestion. |
