This looks really good. He knows how to sell the fakery I think. If I were a bit younger I would have started practicing.

I don't think it can be done either.....

So, Vick, what do YOU think?
What if the Hokey Pokey really IS what it's all about? Smile

My neighbor rang my doorbell at 2:30 a.m. this morning, can you believe that, 2:30 a.m.!? Lucky for him I was still up playing my drums.

It can't be done. If you slow it down, you can see the editing. Cool to watch none the less.

I've just noticed that when he 'touches' the water, he doesn't!

In Quantum Physics, you CAN actually suspend water molecules in a temporary form using a high energy electromagnetic field. This phenomenon has been observed around electromagnetic fields...of course I'm pulling all this out of my butt. Great fake! But it's something to think about and creat a cool effect that is similar.

I've also just noticed that when he lifts up the glass it is in fact INFRONT of the aleady formed water. I still love this clip, I WANT to believe it.

The glass isn't full to the "bottom" either and the water left behind is the shape of the bottom of the glass.

I'd still like to know how he got the water to look like it did.

The use of Sony Vega, using the floating water video effect. Clever though.

I'd think you could do it using clear jello (does plain gelatin come in clear?).

The trick would be switching out the water for the jello. (No problem in the video, because it's a cut rather than a continuous shot).

How funny. I wonder how many people have actually tried this over and over again.

Nice video editing skills! You can probably do that in Adobe After Effects in a few days, from what I have seen on YouTube so far...

There is no way to make water remain in that position, not even by using jello. It defies the laws of physics.

This is old hat and has nothing to do with computer editing skills or "non-liquid physics"...whatever THAT is. The mis-direction is a little primitive on this video's presentation but, essentially, the correct principles have been observed and the correct moves have been made. It is pretty much the same as we did as 5th formers at Roedean College in England in the 1960s. Lots of people found it boring and so it never really caught on...especially when television arrived and dominated.
