The Masked Moron's levitation is pretty easy to lug around... It comes with it's own mechanical lift!

The inherent problem with any suspension or levitation (not including Asrah) is that in order to perform the effect with a full-grown person, it is going to be heavy no matter what. The steel involved in making the prop work and work safely will always create a prop that is heavy. Then, add a road case to the mix, and you are talking about a prop (no matter who builds it) that will be heavy and hard to troupe with.
So, to help, how are you transporting it? Will it be used for one-nighters or be in a space for an extended amount of time; etc?

The prop will be used for one nighter type shows..and I would transport by trailer..it could be heavy..I understand the mechanics of it would cause it to be heavy...what is the best one..I wanted something like the one splashes made..but they no longer make them..I'm looking along those lines

Funny, I was going to suggest the Splashes Levi as I didn't realize they weren't building them anymore. The reason the Splashes one is nice is because when you put it in your trailer it can stand vertically instead of taking up a lot of space horizontally and having to stack things on top of it.
I think there was some issue of IP with the developer of the illusion and the thread is here: http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......&start=0 Perhaps Taylor can suggest a company that he trusts to build the prop. Sincerely, David

Maybe its best if I don't get involved with that mumbojumbo politics...any other ideas similar to that effect?

A fundamental problem is that you are asking for "the best", which is a purely subjective point. Some folks have illusions that they swear by, but that others swear at.
Your typical performance requirements will have a definite influence on what illusion will be practical for you. The more you can control your performance environment, the more options you will be able to explore. Gale Molovinsky's Gamolo Levitation is generally regarded as a practical "float-the-lady-in-the-air" effect, as is Phil Moore's Lighter that Air. They have some definite similarities to one another, but both would likely be worth your looking at. |

I also have a lighter than air I would sell. PM if you are interested. It is a great illusion that requires no assistant if you like.

The lighter than air is a great levitation. The one Aaron is selling is a great prop. I used to own it and have performed with it countless times all over the country. It is very reliable, and a great addition to any show. It is also a complete STEAL at the price he is selling it for.
