Astral Projection is amazing!!! In A Flash is literally one of the best self-working effects that requires minimal sleight of hand... Both effects are just amazing...

Johnny,
It is called Ring and Spring. Although it is more of a puzzle than an effect, I feel certain that you could make some good magic with it. In any event, it is one of those little things that I have always loved. Peace, Parson

I really like the card effect Royal Marriages by Dai Vernon taken from the Amateur Magician's Handbook by Hay. The spectator gets to shuffle (twice!) with carefull watching and the effect is stunning.

Maybe we should change the term "self-working" to "sleight-free" and that would end the debate as to whether or not there is such a thing as self-working magic.
My favourite non-card sleight-free trick is "Puncture" from Karl Fulves's Self-Working Coin Magic. My favourite sleight-free card tricks are Bob Farmer's Tsunami and Daryl's Untouched. |

Yes, please, Colour Monte is NOT self-working, (or sleight-free)-- there are sleights involved. My vote goes to The haunted Hanky aka Glorpy.

"Gemini Twins" is the first trick in on of Karl Fulves Self Working Card Trick books. It requires no sleight of hand, just a small amount of short term memory. |

So many card effects. I like Jeff McBride's string. I wear it on my wrist all the time. Plus I always have a silver dollar or a casino coin in my pocket for BobO effects. No cards except business cards.

Si Stebbins is basically self working. All you really need is a false shuffle and false cut and your are ready.
