Hi Jamie. Thank you for all your helpful thoughts, advice and input this week.
Let's say you only had a deck of cards and a small group of people. What would you do to entertain them? What in your opinion are the top three card tricks that you have found to really entertain others? Thanks! Tom |

This actually happens a lot- especially if you're at someone's house and they have cards in a drawer somewhere. Since it's a bit different from a working gig (where you'll generally be standing), it opens the doors a bit. So generally...
I do an effect that introduces magic, "Some people think magicians are pretty tricky when they shuffle cards..." ~ Triumph Move on to a display of skill, "Can I show you something I've been working on? It's taken me years to perfect." ~ Mr. E Takes a Stroll Close with them doing something, "I'll do one more. Actually, why don't you do one more?" ~ Spectator Deals 4 Aces. Or Diplopia.

Which version(s) of triumph do you find yourself using most?
Also wanted to say that I'm a long time follower of Magic Friday and love your reviews! Angry Bob ratings always make my day. |

Thanks!
Just the standard- card selected, slop shuffle, cards "right" themselves with the selection reversed. Vernon's (?) I'm thinking... I should probably know that- 100%, lol.

I think Sid Lorraine has generally been credited for the 'slop shuffle' version of Triumph. Solid piece of magic.
