There are many places for kids parties, like Pump it Up, Monkey Joes and Chuck-e-cheese, but is there a party place that specializes in magic shows? I could not find a national chain that does this but was wondering if there are local places that do this.

Balloon Man Mike,
I've never heard of a national chain that does magicians nowadays. I know there are some local ones. One guy here on the Café once talked about opening a party place in a mall, where he'd perform his show, etc. I think it's a great idea, but I don't know of any national chain that's doing it now. Good luck! |

Louis Meyer has "Child Time Magic" in the Virginia/DC area and is doing well. Web site is: http://www.childtimemagic.com There was a "Magic Shop" in the metro Atlanta area that made it because of their in-house party business. They closed because of other reasons. There's a new Magic store in one of the malls (afraid that I don't remember the name) that might be doing in store parties. I've thought about it over the years...lol. Having them come to you means you don't have to drive or load out or load in and can do more shows per day (if they book).

I am the house magician and manager for "King Putt" indoor blacklight mini golf in Las Vegas. There are 2 locations, one in Henderson and one in NW Vegas. Our party package is called the Magical package and features a round of golf, pizza, juice, the party room and a half hour magic show. Last year I did about 325 shows not including my private ones!
We do franchise if anyone is interested but right now we are only in Vegas. We also sell magic stuff and do magic camp in the summer there. BTW, any kids magicians in the Vegas area want to make a little cash, PM me. We are always looking for fill in magicians. |

"King Putt" looks like a real good deal. Good price for almost 2 hours that include mini-golf and magic show and pizza and drink.

A remarkable idea. Great thread, guys. Maybe there's a local partnership waiting?
I've worked with a shopping mall to do kids birthday parties. They brought in a dollar store to make treat bags and one of the food court vendors to do the meal. It worked as a promo for the mall and cross promotions with the merchants. It didn't pay as much as I would have liked, and it suffered from lack of promotion...but it was a great way to get business cards out and to create work at times when I otherwise wouldn't have been working.
