First, it's hard for me to really review these notes as I am biased. I am friends with Aldo and Rachel and love their magic. Having gotten that out of the way, I think they are both insane. They have packed these lecture notes with loads of material, which all together would cost you well over $100.
Aldo and Rachel are not retiring. Rather, they are doing one last big lecture tour of the US and Canada over the next year. After that, they will no longer tour in North America. They spend the majority of their time on the road and they want a bit of a break from it. After the North American tour they will spend more time at home, put out more books and dvds and occasionally make appearances at conventions. So these notes are their farewell notes. 32 pages of some of their best stuff and tricks from some of their friends. The notes are well written and contain loads of black and white photos. The front and back of the book is in color. Now, as some of you know, Aldo and Rachel sell everything for $10 each (Crazy! They could easily sell some of their tricks for $25 or more!). But these farewell notes are an exception. They sell for $25 at their lectures. But even at $25, it's a STEAL (Keep in mind, most of the routines in the notes are also sold as separate items)! Some of the highlights: Tri-Colored Cups and Balls -- This is a basically self working cups and balls routine with a fantastic ending. Rachel performs this at the lectures and it's fantastic. Contact Colors -- I've been doing this routine for years. A coincidence effect, color separation and four Ace production that's self working. Awesome routine. Punch His Match -- Random holes punched into a card match a prediction. Discovery Pack -- One of my favorite Peter Duffie routines. A double prediction effect that's insanely strong and really, really easy to do. Chinese Purse -- Love this. A chinese coin penetrates onto a rope. Simple and completely impossible looking. Definitely a fooler. Restless Colors -- Roy Walton's version of Alex Elmsley's Dazzle. Aldo simplified the handling for this one. It's great. Easy going -- Two selections vanish from a deck and reappear in your pocket. Then the whole deck vanishes. No palming. Beautiful effect. An Empty Envelope -- I love this one. Very simple but funny prediction effect. Okay, so those are just some of the effects. There's more great stuff in there, too. I don't think these notes are on their site but if you get a chance to see them lecture this year, definitely pick them up. You will be glad you did.

Just checked their website. The Farewell lecture notes has been added to the catalog. 24 effects for $25 is a steal.

Thanks Cameron,
that's a lot of great magic packed in those notes. If love Aldo's stuff, you can't go wrong with these.
