Those look gorgeous.
The shape really implies a lot more innocence as well. That makes them classy and very deceptive, in my opinion. Congratulations in every way. |

Todd… where did you get the multi colored final load balls?
Thanks, Bruce |

Bruce : Todd can chime in but I have a set of these final load balls too. Mine came from a standard juggling set; bought it on the big auction site.

Thanks guys for the suggestions… that style of ball looks pretty cool with the Traditional Cups.

Check etsy.com for "juggling balls". There are some beautiful hand stitched sets that are very affordable.

The only thing I don't particularly like about these juggling balls is the vinyl covering. Is there anybody out there who makes these balls with a leather or cloth covering with birdseed (?) inside?

I agree… having a set in leather would be more desirable. Maybe someone does make them or a little scuffing and weathering effects could make the plastic covering seem to be of leather. We probably worry about that more than any spectator would.

What about the weight of the cups, Todd?

I don't have a scale at my place. But they are a nice weigh and heavier than aluminum cups of the same size.

Quote: Back on the off-topic topic -- I just got a set at one of the Borders Bookstores that is closing down for about three dollars. The sticker said $3.99, but they're liquidating at 30% off.

Those balls run fairly small, don't they - say lacrosse ball size?

Fortasse, My set was a $1.99 at World Marketplace and (you're right) they measure 2" diameter.

So who is waiting on a set? What material or specifics did you request?

Perhaps I've missed something... are tin cups prohibitively expensive to some? I'd think they would be cheaper than others.
If that's the case, I've got a set of Campbell's soup cans I'm selling. Make me an offer!

How about making your own leather balls. How hard can it be?
http://www.pjb.com.au/jug/leatherballs.html google.com Posted: Mar 27, 2011 8:06pm This looks like a good source for "vintage looking" balls or Google "lemon peel baseball stitch" for other options. http://www.lemonpeelbaseballs.com/ |
