Where you start to respond to a post, but then delete it because you find yourself saying it is pointless to post a reply?

Especially when replying to people who change the goalposts all the time and just invent any excuse to justify the unjustifiable. They don't listen and have wish to change or see the problem, they just wish to add a new excuse to get themselves out of it. So halfway through an epic post, I think way bother as they will just dismiss it with yet more rubbish.

I think I've done that over 100 times in the past couple of years. Sometimes I just prefer to keep a low profile on here, I see way too many threads which are just pointless to join in.

I delete the most when I think I'm too pointed (in whatever way), when I flop out my ignorance, or when I get too testy and sarcastic.
In my better moments, I delete for ALL the above reasons.

Accidental deletes here. I flip between screens and lose my work. Then I think better and move on.

It depends upon my cognition of the sincerity of the question or discussion. Ergo: whether my time is better spent walking down to Baskin Robbins -- feeling good about NOT buying anything, then walking back and feeling good that I got the exercise, or not.

Well I type a response, and then I think ... what's the point? The real mentalists would already have an impression of those thoughts.

Yes, but for the networks to acknowledge your abilities, we must ALL be staring at a Baskin Robbins...

I haven't been a member on the Magic Café for a very long time, but I still feel like I am doing that a couple of times every day.
I use a lot of time reading trough topics, and I often start to write a reply before I really understand how unimportant it is, or how little it is actually saying. I am trying to do my best in not spamming the forum with too much nonsense-posts |
