Dear all,
I found an interesting text (see below) which I want to share with you.
What do you think about the contents?
Should a buyer who feels (or really is) cheated reach out to the seller and into his social network by publishing his experience to as many others as possible (also to friends of the seller) in order to force the seller to either deliver or return the money?
Or should the buyer just wait, even if it takes a year or more to get what he paid for under the impression and promise that the product would be his in no time?
Or should he limit his actions to file a lawsuit (and may end up paying more to lawyers than the whole product is worth)?
I am interested in your views.

The internet has significantly improved the business of many people, sellers and buyers alike.
Nowadays it is possible to purchase and sell from our homes in direct contacts with unknown partners all over the world.
All these transactions are of course based on the confidence, that someone who offers a product,
really has this product available and that a person or company who receives the payment from a buyer
is really fulfilling his/her commitments and delivering the product.
Unfortunately there are people, who are endangering these new opportunities and using the world wide connection
to cheat others out of their money, thus making the e-commerce a risky place.

Those who do this should pay attention.
The internet may be a helpful tool for those who want to take advantage of others and cheat them out of their money,
but the internet is also a dangerous place for those who want to hide behind distance and anonymity.
The one who cheats is no longer nameless and the victims can reach out into his neighborhood and into the circle of friends
without leaving their country or even their home.
New social groups can easily be set up online and people from different continents can join to bring a fraud down
or at least make his life as uncomfortable as the life of his victims have been made
by swindling substantial amounts of money from people who are not rich.

I think someone should use the tools they have on hand. But they also should be aware of the ramifications. If they say something that is not true they, in turn, could get sued. Or, their OWN "social group" could be utilized against them. We reap what we sow.

I think it is always best to try to work with the other party as much as is possible. If all else fails, have a lawyer contact them...sometimes that's all it takes.

In my opinion, when we publicly badmouth someone (whether true or not) WE are the ones usually ending up looking bad.
