I've seen this before. Would have some great applications for magicians. Have they figured out a good way to keep the magnet from shattering into itty-bitty shards inside your fingertip yet?

Well I guess it's a good thing they stopped making VHS tapes.

If there is a single truth about Magic, it is that nothing on earth so efficiently evades it.

The problem the article mentions is using magnets under the skin to pick up items kills the skin. No mention of magnets shattering, or problems we can't even think of.

I wouldn't do this to myself. That's just me though.

Several years ago, I had managed to place my left hand palm onto a nail sticking up through a board and pushed with most of my body weight. It went about a half inch in. One of the first things I thought was $#!+ and the other thing I thought was I wonder if I could put a small magnet inside and let it become sealed within as it heals to use for magic purposes. Not sure of the exact order of those two thoughts though. The magic routine ideas were endless, so I knew I could get lots of usage if I did that.
However, I never did this because I was more concerned about the risk of infection, the coating of the magnet not working, or it getting ripped out because of any other strong magnet proximity. Now if I could insert a biologically powered electromagnet in a finger/hand... |

Anybody who needs a magnet would be better off just practicing their CP more
