Anyone has info on this?

I seriously hope this is a joke of a very bad taste. Not suitable for those who are easily shocked.

The phrase which appears at the end of the video is, according to Google translator, Czech., It reads "1000 Euro Per Capita". This is too gross to be real...

I hope that wasn't real, why would the second girl get out and expose the effect if it wasn't real...

That is what I'm thinking, too. Even considering the possiblity of this being a gag, it would still be a very stupid and senseless one.

I find it odd that there is no mention of this incident on any newspapers, TV journals whatnot. The only evidence is this video, which is also narrated on a very "Faces of Death"-ish way.

This looks like one of the segments from Faces of Death. These are staged fake events. Take another look--so much of it makes no sense. From the gag to box design to actual saw through.

I believe that to be a joke.

A bad one.

Here are my thoughts: I first I really thought is was real now I am not so sure.
1. The bogus design of the prop.
2. The head box had no door and most likely you need a door to do a switch. Of course there are other ways to do the switch.
3. Te reaction of the crew and magician is questionable.
4. The leg girl can come out of the box but the other girl can't?
5. The performance is weird. When he enters there is no applause. He puts the blades and then the chainsaw instead of the other way around. The way the theater is lit is for TV.
6. The neck blade would have killed her first because it went all the way through. The blade doesn't seem to be gimmicked. If it was it fooled me.
7. The Performance is not right. Presentation, applause cue, etc.
8. The "1000 euro per capita" title is to cruel to be real

On the other hand:
1. The chain saw goes lower than her neck. But this could be accomplished by other means.
2. The music is from the "Matrix" Soundtrack I don't think they can air that music in "1000 ways to die"

Thanks,
reynold

If you listen closely you can hear the male assistant say, "Oh man! Bummer, dude...", and it didn't sound like he was "acting", so it's probably real.

Regarding item 4: There were only 2 girls involved. The leg double and the one who got beheaded. Item 6 is a fine point that got me thinking even when I first saw the video.

By the way... The narrator seems to say the guy's name. Anyone got this?

I know there are only two girls. What I meant is why did the beheaded girl couldn't get out of the box to prevent being killed. The box top was not locked because the other girl (feet) came out of the box by herself without any help.

Thanks,
Reynold

My guess is fake. Instead of flapping are arms like she is in trouble, wouldn't she just scream to him that somethings wrong.

Oh, he puts a gag around her mouth. Why would he do that? I still say fake.

Reynold....rewatch the video closely.

Neither the blade nor the saw goes lower than the "table" she is laying on. Once the head box blade is in position the girl is "locked" in her position/location. Think of the side show Mabel Illusion, and also note the angle and length of her hand/arm sticking out the side. The arm also only makes an appearance once the girl is fully in position. Also consider, why is the head box the only one with a full open side.

It's "real" all right, a real illusion! To me the "exposure" of the second girl is a blow off to the real effect of an "accident" supposedly happening on stage.

Hey nice seeing you again. I meant that the blade and the saw went below her neck not the table.
I am convinced is fake but those details threw me off.

Thanks,
Reynold

Ps. BTW please refresh my memory on the Mabel Illusion.

I hope some of you remember when someone put up a video a while ago. A big metal thing dropped on the "magician head" during an escape presentation and showed his head were smashed and all blood. They got you. They should wait until April 1.st LOL

I CAP PROVE IT IS FAKE

Before my days on stage I sold & serviced Stihl brand chainsaws. I am a silver level technician for the company.

The saw is an 088 magnum with I am guessing a 42 inch bar, I know it well.

The saws clutch is not engaged. meaning that if there is a chain on it, it wont spin. I can tell by the exhaust cloud and the sound that the clutch is not spinning. He has the chain lock activated. It is the black plastic guard that covers his left hand.

OK so that explains what....but why?

Are we really discussing if its real? It is obviously a stunt in poor taste or for money (probably the latter). I would think something like this would have made the news somewhere, someplace... Nothing in a google news search bit I could be wrong... Oh wait, what about the head blade? How did that thing work and not kill her?
