Hello all,

Does anyone have contact with Mr Scratch, as I placed an order on 22nd July and I have not had any reply to numerous emails regarding this order?

I'm sure this is an oversight, but at $400 plus delivery I am starting to feel a little nervous!

Many thanks

Seems like a few people have had similar problems!

I still have had no response from Mr Scratch, so it seems like $400+ down the pan!

Please be aware, for any future potential purchasers.

I think he does these on the side and has a busy life, no excuse for not answering your emails. File a dispute with PayPal and let them deal with it. You may not know but PayPal functions under banking laws. Bank fraud via wire transfer is a serious federal offense and PayPal doesn’t play around with merchants. He will respond to them one way or another.

I agree RCP. I filed a claim for $300 with PayPal, and had cash in hand within a month. They may ask for back-up support, like emails, PMs, email addresses, phone numbers, etc., so save everything. In my case, I gave them 3 email addresses to the same individual...all of which had suddenly become non-working...along with 2 phone numbers...also shut down. So, my case may be unique as it was so obviously fraud. In Mr Scratch's case, he may have a perfectly good excuse, e.g. family, health etc. Still, PayPal is a good mediator as it was the service selected by the vendor.

I hope you get it resolved aj.

July to September is not a lot of time. Knowing Mr Scratch he does have a very busy life especially the last few months. He seldom checks his e-mail and hasn't had time to develop a few additional projects he was working on. I have left a phone message for him to take a look at the Café and respond!

Thank you all.

I have already exceeded the 45 day claim period for Paypal, as I understand the time requirements of making bespoke items, but I do appreciate people answering emails and being kept in the loop about the status of an order.

I have had similar delays with other suppliers who frequent The Café, but have always received the courtesy of replies to my queries.

As I mention in my initial post, I am sure it is just an oversight!

Thanks especially dennfox for giving Mr Scratch a call, it is greatly appreciated.

Hello Alan (and all).

First off, let me apologize!. I am extremely sorry that you had to post here to get a response from me.

I do believe I owe you an explanation. The service that hosts my site apparently changed it's email server settings some time a go and never let me know. Consequently, I never received an email from Allen nor PayPal. I have also been very busy with a rather "new-ish" job and family stuff (no excuse).

Belive me, I am not doing this to "get rich". The time and effort don't really cover it. That being said, I realize it is a substantial capital out lay. So I strive to make every one happy. Not for money... I do this for the love of the art and the love of the community.

My greatest thanks to Mr. Fox, Mr. Beleram, and (fresh from his SMASH SHOW at the Castle...) Mr Cadgigal for bringing this to my attention.

Again I am terribly sorry; I do hope you understand.

Your humble Servant,
Mr Scratch

I hear sounds coming from Hell which indicate that Mr Scratch might be back at his work table making something new and devious?
