I would like to have your opinion about this series:
Get Your Act Together! Is it it interesting or does it learn you how to become some kind of I-could-have-been-a-dancer-or-a-model-but-I-do-stage-magic type of guy ?

Good information along the lines of doing the magic that is natural for you. Good info on staging, constructing your show, all the important topics most magicians never stop to think about.

OK. Here's where I get whacked. I bought the tapes a few months after they came out and they were one of the few things that I ever returned to my favorite dealer. The tapes were well done, very professional, and full of good information...but not for me.
At the time I was working on my mentalism act and was looking for good instruction on stage presence and other theatrical assistance. The advice on posing and such looks like it's great for the David Copperfields of the world, but not for me. The movement and posing had a lot to do with emanating power. My character does not emanate power. As with anything else, one size does not fit all.

OK I see, it's what I thought. As I really do not like this kind of "Las Vegas" stage attitude (except for Mc Bride wich is great) I will avoid this series.
Thanks for your help.
