Just curious how you all dress. I'm aware of the maxim to dress better than the best-dressed person in the audience, but how many do that?
For most of my shows the audience is casually dressed ( comedy venues). I wear slacks, shirt and tie with a sweater vest. Often the tie is loosened, the sleeves rolled up. You? Bob |

Depends - not the undergarments. Corporate, theatre, most shows - black dress shirt, black pants, black shoes and ugly tie. For outdoor performances - fairs, festivals - dress pants and shoes and a really ugly designer shirt. Always have to give the character a reason to rag on me!

For my venues, Bob, I wear dark pants, white shirt, solid color tie (usually red) and a special vest . The vest is very kidshow oriented, one with a crayon design, another with star bursts, and I have a special black vest with small stars on it for the adult (grown up) banquet shows that I do. The vests are cotton and they breathe!
In the summer I have a special short sleeve, polo shirt with my logo on the breast pocket area (no pocket..just in that area) and if I'm working outside I have ball caps with with my logo on it in colors to match the various shirts. Much cooler and it keeps the sun out of your eyes! Mark markwade@kidshowvent.com |

I wear a black mock turtleneck, black slacks, black dress shoes and custom blue jacket. I find that most corporate events are quite casual these days and I am still usually better dressed than the audience. If the situation requires, I will of course go with whatever is necessary, jacket and tie, tux, etc.

Tux, usually.
