I don't usually watch The Simpsons, but I'll have to check this one out. It should be on Hulu tomorrow (Monday), if anybody is interested in watching it.

The Great Simpsina. Just type 'The Simpons' into hulu and it is the first one in the grid view.

The episode is, above all, the definitive chris angel parody. and in contrast to the rumors that he is thin-skinned and impossibly odd, david Copperfield showed an ability to make fun of himself, and on precisely the terms that others do.

Ha-ha... David Copperfield "Un button my shirt and turn on a fan...IT'S MAGIC!" I just died laughing the last 5 minutes of that!

I've been a major Simpsons fan for 22 years so this was like my 2 loves coming together. I've never known David to do anything like this before and thought he was hilarious. Penn, Teller and Ricky do side projects all the time and I knew they'd be great. Also, in case no one caught it, the banjo playing hillbilly at the beginning was Jack McBrayer from 30 Rock. Well, I've got to go and practice my milk can escape now so I don't almost drown like Craig Demon.

If you are outside of the USA, you can't get access to Hulu...

So did the old magician actually die at the end?

Probably one of the best Simpsons episodes I've seen.

I'm a little confused on something, though. Is it just me, or was the old Magician character supposed to be Walter Matthau? Martin Landau certainly gave a Matthau lilt to the voice.

Does Matthau have any magical connections that I'm not aware of? Any significance? Just curious. The Simpsons writers have a penchant for obscure references. Wondering if there was something I'd missed.

I thought he sounded more like Carl Balentine.
