Is the new Fab fruit from Ammar as good as the older fruit offered? Wondering if there is opinion out there?
Thanks much! RevJohn |

The newer stuff is smaller and rounder, it fits most any cup.

Quality is about the same? I really liked the older ones. Had a good feel to them.

I never handled the older ones, but I can tell you everything is quite realistic; the Potato really does look and feel like a potato. They all have good weight (I have everything except the turnip and apricot). In short, I'm happy with the set I have.

Does anyone know who manufactures Fab fruit?

If I was Ammar I wouldn't divulge my sources.

I know a bit more about the Fab Fruit than the average person. I don't know who manufactures it for Michael; however, the fruit he sells is not just "off-the-shelf" fake fruit. At the TAOM convention in 2009, I was visiting him in his booth, and he handed me the prototype of a new fruit he was working on with his supplier. It was not in a "ready to use" condition, as far as Michael was concerned, but it would have been usable for the average magician, I think.
The old Fab Fruit and the new Fab Fruit are the same quality, just different sizes.

I had tasted the old fruit, and it just tasted molding, and fermented. Realized I was actually tasting the wine I had tried to make out of the wax grapes from our center piece.
But I had an older set of the Fab Fruit, and let them go a while ago, out of need. But looking forward to this new set! RevJohn |

John: Not too worry, your older set of Fab Fruit is in good hands. And I really like feel and weight of the older model.

Nope I have not. I actually wished the fruits to be bigger but it seems that the newer models are gonna be smaller.

I don't believe there is going to be a "newer" model than the ones that are out. Michael was having some different fruits made. Can't say any more about this.

I was using some Fab Fruit along with real stuff and when finished and putting 'em away I got confused and hope that lime I put back in the kitchen is a real one.

I'm afraid this conversation can't go on any further until we agree that a potato is a vegetable and as such Mr. Ammar is guilty of at least false advertising and possibly tuber slander.

It is the best for magical purposes.
Looking forward to more variety. I've had some success with other fake fruit by loading the inside bottoms with silicone and lead shavings so they land upright. They still talk some though.

They mostly discuss the avocado. They think he's an air-head.
And what's up with those walnuts all of a sudden?
