Hi guys,
I was just wondering whether anyone here could help me to identify this little statuette. Apparently it's from the Dominican Replublic. I know this probably isn't the right place for this, but I figured a board of bizarrists was as good a place to start as any! Many thanks, Steve |

It's a Zemi deity figure by the Taino people. Specifically - Boinayel, the rain giver. The deep grooves running down from his eyes symbolize magic tears that created rainfall.
